Bios

On this page appear updates for some members of our class, as to what they have been up to these past 50 years. These capsule biographies are in alphabetical order by their name as shown in the yearbook, but this webpage, and its annex, are in any case searchable electronically (Control-F), separately (this page to itself, the annex to itself).

In addition to this webpage, a (paper) booklet with various bios will be available at the Reunion. People who do not attend the Reunion can email Jill (Whitney) Boughton for a copy (at $3 each): jillaprilb AT sbcglobal DOT net.

Brief biography:

Joined the USAF in fall of '62 (that was planned before graduation); Right after discharge from USAF joined IBM, where I worked for 22 yrs; first in Field Engineering, then 7 yrs in sales, before moving to Atlanta. Remarried while in Atlanta, and had two children. IBM moved me to SoFla (Boca Raton) in fall of '83; been here ever since. After leaving IBM in '88 was involved with several start-ups (only one still around is Citrix). Became adjunct faculty at Florida Atlantic University, teaching adult ed computer courses. Also taught for a computer training company, as well as Florida Dept. of Transportation, Broward Community College and Palm Beach Community College. Was hired in Sept '98 by a software company that sells billing sw to telecom companies, as their first technical instructor. As I'm still there, my responsibilities have evolved from being a technical instructor to primarily being a sales engineer, supporting the sales efforts. Been an interesting ride, company has sent me all over, teaching classes or supporting sales; England, France, Canada, Czech Republic, Brazil, New Zealand, and got to spend 40 days in Australia in 2002. Retirement will not mean just kicking back. I promised my kids that I'd live to 100, so ... I've got lots to do, planned ahead of me!
